Merely a Loss (written by Trisha)

The wind went out to meet the water
they coupled in bliss
and made together the storm
that blew your sorrow
into ignominy.

The gale of moral knew
what it was doing
when it came to find you.
Don't you know that you don't matter?

Take a fleeting look at those survivors
hollow-eyed, but still alive.
They have learned to fear the beast
they are broken- beaten down,
but thoughts not their own.

The gale of moral swept through quickly,
it chose it's targets
it knew you well-
well enough to want to plan your end.

The fire faced the wind and water,
it tried to fight the toxic storm
a shield, a word, nothing could save it
the fire died- slowly- though its memory
was never lost.
